I really feel what Amanda is talking about here. We authors forget that oftentimes, the middleman is more of a gatekeeper these days than the gatekeepers (traditional and non-traditional publishers) are. This article was reblogged from Mad Genius Club and is their property. I did not steal it, merely helping them spread the word.

A Sunday Off
Over at Shiny Book Review we had a contest. Only 7 people entered, so choosing the winner was rather easy. We took an advanced randomization table, inserted a linear graph to calculate, used a high-tech algorithm to determine that our randomness was completely random, and then we drew straws to see which program would run first. Suffice … Continue reading A Sunday Off

It's hard to write this style, which goes against the grain for me. However, I shall persevere. Or die trying. Two books being reviewed this … Continue reading The Writing News
The Recruiting Report
Yeah, I keep forgetting to update. Winter is usually a slow time of the year (news-wise) for me anyway. On to the infamous Cordova's Ball State Report. If you're not a college football fan, you may want to skip this one. I am pleased to see that second year head coach Pete Lembo has put together … Continue reading The Recruiting Report
