I was saddened to learn that Brian Jacques, author of the Redwall series, passed away due to a heart attack over the weekend. He was young, only 71, which always brings to mind my own dad, who is hanging around at 73 and not the healthiest of people.

We keep losing authors I’ve read over the years. Yeah, I’m not a fantasy fanatic (sorry), but Jacques writing was really entertaining. I know his fans will miss his witty and clever characters. I know I will.
