I have been so stupidly busy between work and writing the past month or so that I haven’t had time to update the website. There has been a lot going on!
The biggest news, of course, is that the cover reveal for my first Baen solo novel, retitled “MOUNTAIN OF FIRE,” was, uh, revealed yesterday. Isn’t it freaking gorgeous?! Kurt Miller, Baen, and I all worked together on this one to get the mental image I had of Maddie down pat. I think Kurt knocked it out of the park with this one, no doubt. The book is scheduled for a hardcover release September 3rd of this year, with the eARC probably coming June 15. Maybe.
Behold, cover art!

Kevin Steverson, Nick Steverson, and I finished our first Salvage Invasion novel, titled SALVAGE PURGATORY. We’re almost halfway through the sequel, SALVAGE IMPERIUM. Both titles should be out sometime this summer from CKP.
I also finished WINTERBORN last weekend. I know, right? When do I find time to sleep? Anyway, the sixth and final novel in the Kin Wars series, HAMMERFALL, should be turned in by end of May. It’s already 10% done but I needed to knock out the Salvage Invasion duology first. Once HAMMERFALL is completed, I’ll be wrapping up the final Warp novel, OBLITERATOR, soon after.
I also just finished putting together SIDE HUSTLE: VOL. 2, which is available for pre-order already on Amazon. SIDE HUSTLE: VOL. 1 is doing well enough to warrant a second volume. Surprisingly, I actually have enough short stories left over that I can probably do a third volume in 2025. We shall see.
Larry and I have outlined our next Monster Hunter Memoirs novel. That’s exciting. If I were a gambling man, I’d say this is going to be a 2026 release. Not sure.
Then I have… something else planned that I’m super excited to start writing.
So no worries. I’m keeping busy. My boss asked me the other day when I found time to sleep. I find it adorable that people still think I sleep.
I like it.
