Made the word count goal today, which means I get to paint tomorrow. Whee!
However, my editor is getting annoyed with my teasing snippets of the current WIP and is forcing me (in other words, asking very nicely with no threats of bodily harm, because that’s not how he rolls; I swear) for me to finish it. So The Tree of Death and Life will be finished by the end of next week. Alpha Reader will get it and, depending on approval level, it’ll be off to the editor before I head out to Mysticon. While at Mysticon, I hope to be able to talk to a few old friends and make some new ones. I also learned that because I’ve been at my job long enough, I get paid time off for the con. Yep. Gonna get paid to drink, carouse, and then be lazy for a week.
Life is good sometimes.
I also wrote a review for Sarah Hoyt’s Darkship Renegades the other day. You can find it here.
I’ve been pretty good about my writing resolutions this year so far. Let’s see if I can keep it up.
Jason, how does the avatar play into it? (Just wondering.)
Good going for all that you’ve achieved. (I’d say more and sound more enthusiastic ‘cept it’s quite early a.m. here and suchlike.)
In videogaming, there are times when you achieve a goal, you unlock a new avatar. 🙂
Ah. 🙂 Well, that makes sense.
