I’m an Esther Friesner fan. Always have been since I first stumbled upon her work years ago. She’d edited and created some of the more dark and humorous anthologies over the years at Baen Books, all of them with a play on words to mess with those who oftentimes take themselves a little too seriously. Hey, I’m a fan.

Well, I was joking around last week and mentioned that Baen missed out on one hell of an opportunity. Instead of “Fangs for the Mammaries” (one of Esther’s anthologies), I stated there should have been a “Tanks for the Mammaries” anthology, featuring chicks in tanks. Things sort of… spiraled, and Tuesday evening I found myself the editor of a forthcoming anthology titled “Chicks in Tank Tops.”

Life is weird.
