RIP John Steakley

John Steakley, author of the highly influential SF book Armor, passes away yesterday. He had been having health problems for awhile, and I guess all those years of fast living and good times finally caught up with the man. Another great one lost…

I talked about John’s influence on me here or, more important, how Armor affected me. Plus having drinks with the man in 2006 was an eye-opening experience to say the least. Enjoy the rest of your journey, John… keep the fires warm.
