Yes, I’m an evil individual who doesn’t keep his word about getting short stories up on time. In my defense…. I got nothin’.
However, if you look at the top of the page you might notice a little new item. Hover over it and you’ll see the intro to “The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus”. I have that edited and am (mostly) happy with that. It’s a little tidbit for those who are tired of waiting. Of course, I’m still working on the final product. But delays and interruptions are a-plenty this holiday season…
I gave an interview today and I was halfway through when I realized that interviews are very long when there’s no structured format to start with. That was partly my fault, because I didn’t send the promo flyer out to the woman who was interviewing me in time. So yeah, remember next time to send off the pertinent info beforehand, Jason. That’ll help everyone.
Had a “moment of truth” this morning while doing some basic scheduling of projects. One of the things I like to do is break down my time about when and how much I should expect to have done. It’s handy when I keep a spreadsheet to track said progress and see just how far I’m behind (or, heaven forbid, on time). But that moment of truth hit me when I was looking at all the books I’ve outlined, written and am rewriting, or simply plotted and are waiting for my attention. I realized that, pushing myself to the maximum of my abilities, I wouldn’t finish the entire Warp series before 2014. That’s a long way away, and then it dawned on me that I will turn 40 before I finished everything I have planned for the Christian Cole series. Don’t get me started about when I might actually finish the Wraiths of Man series. I had a panicky moment about being too old until I realized that most authors don’t start writing and trying to get published until they were in their mid-40’s. It’s a comforting thought to say the least.
Got some reviews up on Amazon finally. Hope more people who bought the book can give a short review or something. Even Harry Potter got the occasional 1 star review. So long as your review is an honest one, I’ll appreciate it.
