I’m still sick, but I did feel good enough this evening to do some math. And the math says that, in spite of not liking the SEC (the math likes the SEC; I don’t), the SEC had the most bowl wins this year. Otherwise, the whole “Big Six” thing is a bit strange this year. Oklahoma made a great talking point after being dissed by the Bowl Committee, and then proceeded to get blown out by Texas A&M.

Bowl wins: (bold denotes BCS bowl victory)

ACC –  4-2: Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State,

Big East – 3-2: Louisville, Cincinnati, Syracuse

Big 10 – 2-4: Michigan State, Northwestern

Big 12 – 3-5: Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas

C-USA – 4-1: Rice, Central Florida, Tulsa, Southern Methodist

Independent – 1-2: BYU

MAC – 2-5: Central Michigan, Ohio

MWC – 1-5: Boise State

PAC 12 – 4-4: Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, Oregon

SEC – 6-3  : Vanderbilt, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi, Alabama

Sun Belt – 2-2: Arkansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette.

WAC – 2-0: Utah State, San Jose State

So… thoughts?
