I typically don’t write on Saturdays. It’s usually my one day where I can sit back, play tanks, maybe some Civ5 or CivBE, and generally be lazy. It’s the only day That I remind myself that it’s my recharge day.
Which is why this morning’s little flurry of output was so strange.
This book (Kraken Mare) has grabbed me at long last, after fighting tooth and nail for the past two weeks with me. I see the entire story now, the antagonist isn’t just some faceless entity, and my protagonist is starting to develop the flaws that will make him a better man (notice I did not say hero). And it’s even promising to let me keep it as a stand alone novel.
That’s thoughtful, considering…
The Hand of God is out and selling very well. The print edition will be out very shortly. I’m very excited. I’ll need to have many copies on hand (ha!!!) at Libertycon this summer. I made the mistake of not bringing enough (i.e., any) last year and ended up with many disappointed people (like, 20). I swore upon the souls of the disappointed that this will not happen again.
In the meantime, I guess I’ll go back to writing.
