The Quiet Month

“Jason’s being quiet… he must be writing.”

You would assume correctly. I’m on course to complete WINTERBORN before the end of the month. It’ll go to the Mega Awesome Beta Force group to be torn apart and put back together to make sure continuity is solid still. I lose track of things. Everybody does. But the really cool thing is I’ve already started the next book in the series, and I wrote the ending of the entire series. That’s right. I might be getting ahead of myself, but I wanted to get it down on paper and see how it feels. I like the ending, but there’s room for tweaking.

This Friday DAUGHTER OF THE PRIDE is released. Super stoked for it. The #LionWatch contest ends tomorrow. I’ll be picking the winner then. I’ve had a lot of awesome entries. Weekend getaway to a cabin in Illinois? Sign me up.

Dragoncon is cancelled and, with that, all my cons for 2020 are out. This’ll be the first year since 2004 that I don’t get to a convention. It sucks, quite frankly. I’m not pleased. I’m of two minds about this. On one hand, the “if it saves one life!” club needs to STFU because they’re starting to sound like the Prohibitionists in 1919. On the other, I’ve been led to understand a lot of conventions are being hammered on insurance coverage because of this and they simply can’t afford the new rates. So… lots of rumor and conjecture. We’ll see how it plays out, I suppose.

The one good thing about being a writer is I self-quarantine all the time anyway, so this is nothing new.
