Just the Average February Update

Just a quick update letting everyone know I’m still (somehow) alive.

THE EXECUTIONERS was turned in and is now awaiting its release date. It’s an exciting Four Horsemen novel with lots of ‘splodey bits, and written with Matt Novotny. My guess? Maybe May, possibly June. Not sure yet. Once I have the release date and cover, I’ll share.

CHICKS IN TANKS TOPS is looking more and more like an early 2023 release from Baen Books. No cover yet, but the book is in Toni’s hands.

MONSTER HUNTER MEMOIRS: FEVER is also going to be a 2023 release, maybe mid-to-late summer. Also from Baen Books.

Settling in to life in North Carolina nicely. Absolutely love my new job. The move set my writing back a month (we were trying to get THE EXECUTIONERS turned in by Jan 1, but, well, life happened) but it’s flowing well now. I think I’m back on track to get everything turned in when I want/need to, though the goal of having all four remaining Kin Wars books in by the end of the year might have been a tad optimistic.

Lots of exciting things waiting in the wings that I can’t talk about yet, though. I might be able to in a few weeks. You know what I can talk about, though? This week’s sponsor, DAUGHTER OF THE PRIDE, a Four Horsemen novel.

Here Comes Sunshine!

The lioness prowls where only darkness reigns.

Months after the fall of Liberia, Lieutenant Sunshine of the Kakata Korps Mercenary Company finds herself adrift in the galaxy. Her last remaining mission, which she has sworn to complete, is to find a member of the Peacemaker Guild and pass along a message from the dead. There’s just one problem—nobody can find the message hidden inside the old, broken-down CASPer in which she escaped the final battle.

As more time passes, the dead she chooses to honor are tossed into the dustbin of forgotten history. Footnotes and nothing more, the so-called “Lions of Liberia” will only be remembered for their apparent betrayal of Earth, not for their brave sacrifice in an effort to save their people and their homeland.

Sunshine will not let their deaths be in vain, and she swears to complete her mission. It is her only goal in life…until a cry for help in the dark is heard that changes everything.

And the galaxy will soon learn why a pride of lions is more dangerous than the solitary one.

Grab your copy of DAUGHTER OF THE PRIDE here and discover why Sunshine is called “tiny fierceness” by the most dangerous aliens in the galaxy…
