We’re Finished!

I did mention that Melissa and I finished the second book of the Bronze Legion, right? Well, if not, we finished it on Sunday and turned it in only a month late. In our defense, she had to edit two other books and then decided to get bit by a spider, aaaaaaand then she had a reaction to antibiotics and tried her best to get hospitalized, sooooo…. but Vessels Grim and Daring is at the editor and it’s time for us to get back to work on other projects!

For Melissa it’s book 3 in her Griffin Corps series. I have no idea what the title of that book is, only that there’s a creature mentioned in there that I really, really want. If you want to know more, she’s pretty active all across social media. TikTok, Instagram, pretty much everything.

As for me, I’m back to work on Monster Hunter Memoirs: Inferno with Larry Correia, the follow-up novel to Monster Hunter Memoirs: Fever starring Chloe Mendoza. Monster hunting in the disco era!

I’m also working on another project simultaneously (which is surprisingly easy to do when one is first person POV and the other is third). I’m not talking about it yet because, well, it doesn’t have a title I like. It’s a fantasy novel, the sort that I loved reading as a teen, but that’s all I’m willing to say right now. That one should be published in 2027. Actually, both it and MHM:Inferno should be published in 2027.

Not much else going on at the moment. Staying busy, lots of work at Baen, getting ready for Libertycon next month (how the hell is it May already?). Then some EXCITING news coming in August (because of course I have something crazy happening in August…it’s practically required now).

One thing, though. Because of a scheduling conflict, I had to drop out of this year’s Imaginarium, which is a bummer. It’s pretty much the only time I’m in the Midwest these days. But hopefully I can make it in 2027 when things calm down a bit.
