So two days ago it became official: I had to drop a convention.

I hate doing that, though I had a sneaky suspicion that it might happen this year, since I had booked more cons than normal. Unfortunately, it was Ravencon which was thrown under the bus this year, and while I’ve attended Ravencon in the past and liked it, I simply couldn’t afford it this year.

I’ve got to get this story done. I’ve been seriously procrastinating this week, and last week, and last month… it’s only 7 weeks overdue. Surely an editor won’t get the branding iron out for that, would they?
