Books Ahoy!

There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a finished product being enjoyed by the population. It doesn't matter if you're an artist, an author, a parent or an actor. To see people appreciate something you've put so much energy and effort into is rewarding unto itself. But a good artist, author, etc. knows that one should … Continue reading Books Ahoy!

Tech Week

Tech week. TECH week. TECH WEEK!!! In theater, there's always that final week before you open the show. You know, the week when everything goes wrong, the technical people (lights and sound mostly) are still working out the kinks while the actors (who are no longer allowed to call for their line) desperately struggle to … Continue reading Tech Week

Influential Books

"But Jason", someone's going to say, "there's s-e-x in the book!" Trust me. If a 16 year old doesn't know anything about sex after listening to the current Top 20 on the radio, then they live in a place where the children can't read books like this anyways or the radio station is nothing but classical music.

Wrote quite a bit yesterday after the update, and was generally pleased. … Continue reading Enge-date

The Plucky Favorite?

Does he become a kind and friendly ruler who must battle his own insurgency? Entertain me, please. Be as insane as you want.

News Update: No More Cookies!

You see, to a lot of authors, these are your babies, your children growing up before your eyes. To your readers, these characters are often growing up with them, maturing as they do and doing things throughout their lives which the reader can relate to. It's heartbreaking, but joyous at the same time, when you get to begin and end relationships your characters have. Why does this come up today, though, when I've focused more this week on what the effects characters have on their worlds?

The Depth of Character Actions (Or “This Is NOT How I Met Your Mother”)

Sliding over from writing a book to creating characters for gaming purposes is a fairly simple endeavor, plus one you can steal ideas from to build upon your book. Yes, I said steal. Because nothing says creative like your DM telling you that your gnome just bought a time share in Hell with a lovely … Continue reading The Depth of Character Actions (Or “This Is NOT How I Met Your Mother”)
