So, lots of good news. First off, turned in ON TOP A MOUNTAIN OF FIRE to the editor last week. Beat the deadline by a week (woot) and was very happy with the final product. It was also about 27,000 words longer than planned (oops) and, from the sounds I'm hearing from the editor, might … Continue reading Finished and Submitted

MONSTER HUNTER MEMOIRS: FEVER by Larry Correia and I is officially OUT! Thanks to all of the fans out there! It is kicking butt because of you! This is the first Chloe Mendoza Memoirs novel. Larry and I plan on doing a trilogy... when the time allows. Again, thank you to everyone who picked up … Continue reading Release Day!

Some exciting news! The pre-order for MONSTER HUNTER MEMOIRS: FEVER is doing fantastic on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Books-A-Million will be carrying it as well if neither of the first two options are your cup of tea. But even better, the audiobook is now available for pre-order as well! That's right! SAME DAY … Continue reading Audiobook Pre-Order Now!

Just returned from Dragoncon and I'll have that AAR up on Friday, if not sooner. No, I do not plan on making you wait as long as you did for the Libertycon AAR (I still feel guilty about that, really). However... While at Dragoncon, I received a message from my publisher, Chris Kennedy, congratulating me and … Continue reading We Won An Award!

Three days and counting until Nerdi Gras--ahem, I mean, Dragoncon begins. My schedule this year for Dragoncon is pretty light. Three panels, one of which is the Baen Travelling Road Show, and a booth signing. Easy peasey. FRIDAY 11:30 AM in the Hyatt Embassy AB -- When Are We? Time Travel in SF: Time travel … Continue reading DRAGONCON!!!

This is long overdue, but I've been stupid busy trying to catch up on work stuff since I got back. Because I also am relying on a brain that has suffered 30+ documented concussions for memory purposes, I might have forgotten a thing or two (or dozen or more). So bear with me... there's a … Continue reading Libertycon 35 AAR — The (Delayed) Long Vacation Edition

(I have an AAR from Libertycon that is... coming. Eventually. I promise.) The eARC for Monster Hunter Memoirs: Fever is currently LIVE over at the Baen website. An eARC, for those of you who haven't heard the term before, is short for electronic Advance Reader Copy. Baen sells these before the book comes out so … Continue reading eARC for Monster Hunter Memoirs: Fever is Live!

Sorry for the delay but I have been crazy busy the past month. Larry Correia and I turned in the final draft, edits, and copyedits for MONSTER HUNTER MEMOIRS: FEVER to Baen last week. We did that turnaround in about four days which, if you know how slow publishing can be, had to have come … Continue reading NEWS! I GOT NEWS!

It's not like I purposefully forget to update the website! I, uh, forgot to update the website... all the same. So what's new in the Land of Cordova? Well, quite a bit is going on around here. Larry Correia and I are going over the final edits of MONSTER HUNTER MEMOIRS: FEVER right now. Yeah, … Continue reading In the Land of Confusion (aka Cordovatown)

The Kin Wars have been translated into another language -- this time, we're invading France! (I jest, I jest... Spain doesn't want France. We want Portugal) This means the Kin Wars have now been translated into German and French, besides the original English publication. Counting the Japanese translation for the Kaiju Apocalypse novelettes I co-authored … Continue reading Preorder Day — In France!

The German translation of SONS OF THE LION is currently live over on Amazon.de. For some reason my books do very well in Germany. I'm not complaining. I just find it odd. Keep buying my books, German-speaking world, and I'll keep writing them. Wenn du das Gold des Kaisers nimmst, wirst du zum Mann des … Continue reading Release Day — in Germany!

Once again Joel Lyons and crew put on an amazing FantaSci. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked their tails off to make sure this year's FantaSci went off without too many hitches. But before the con started... dinner at The Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC! Joining us was our host, Flight Doc (name protected … Continue reading FantaSci 2023 AAR — The “It’s Still This Week” Edition

I owe Jamie Ibson a short story (...UNTIL THE WOLVES ARRIVE) but, as usual, I'm just not feeling it right now. Which is weird because when we were plotting this thing out, it was arguably the best thing ever. Quintus Fox and Jamie's character Orph Buffington teaming up in a two-part story duology? Sign me … Continue reading Procrastinating Like A Boss
