Have you picked up your copy? Yes? Then why not leave a review?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081FGNWCN I should be writing THE CHRISTMAS SURPRISE but I went down that rabbit hole known as Youtube and discovered Russian slap fighting tournaments. While it sounds straight of of some trashy underground novel, it's a legitimized sport over there, further cementing the … Continue reading Word Counts Matter
Commence the Celebration
Once more doth the song of awesome play! https://youtu.be/RX2gw0ffWG8 That's right, Jamie and I turned in GUNBOAT DIPLOMACY, a novel set in the bestselling Four Horsemen Universe, last night. It's not directly in the main timeline but the sequence of novels after will bring everything up to the main line, which is something we talked … Continue reading Commence the Celebration
Nine
On November 3, 2010, my very first novel ever was officially published. Corruptor was a YA story which told the story of a young girl trapped within a virtual reality video game with friends and enemies alike trying to find their way out while being held hostage. It did okay but interest in it waned … Continue reading Nine
Don’t Stop
It's NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and all I've been seeing from friends is how this year they are going to crush it. Me? Well, I decided to do a different route. I've been bad about updating the website over the past.... nine years. Yeah, this started off as a weird blog before I was … Continue reading Don’t Stop
Reflections
My earliest science fiction memory wasn't the normal one. I remember I was a young child on my way somewhere. One of the group homes I was at was going on a weekend camping trip to Lake Mead, and the four of us kids were sleeping in the back of the truck underneath the protective … Continue reading Reflections
Name of the Game?
I just got back from Colorado yesterday and I'm still beat, so I'll make this brief. I might put up a full-on AAR about the Colorado trip but then, it was pretty boring. The train trip was... interesting, to say the least, Patchouli Rod, you shall live on forever in infamy. Two new anthology invites … Continue reading Name of the Game?
A Plan Comes Together
Just a quick update to let everyone who comes here that yes, I am still alive and no, I haven't stopped writing. Far from it, in fact. Right now my problem seems to be too many pieces of iron in the forge. My co-author Jamie Ibson and I have finally settled on a title for … Continue reading A Plan Comes Together
Dragoncon 2019 AAR — Vacation Mode Engaged Edition
This year's Dragoncon was a weird one for me. Not because it was my second year there, but because I was only there for two days. I had reasons for scheduling things like this, but the primary one was money. If you didn't know, Dragoncon is very expensive to attend. Not because of the convention, … Continue reading Dragoncon 2019 AAR — Vacation Mode Engaged Edition
Migrating and Awards
I received a bit of good advice once from a man who doesn't like me. He told me "social media platforms come and go, but your website... well, that's yours." Indeed it is. The past 72 hours I've seen multiple utspoken friends banned from using Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook under what a lot of people … Continue reading Migrating and Awards
Still Awesome
The talented design team over at Mottfolio Design came up with this amazing design header for me. Love their work. The news is still shocking, to say the least. They say I'm a huge long shot but then, I did happen to be in a movie titled 50 to 1 a few years ago. Perhaps … Continue reading Still Awesome
2019 Dragon Award Finalist
Yeah, you read that correctly. My novel, Sons of the Lion, is a 2019 finalist for Best Military SciFi or Fantasy novel. What's really cool/interesting is that I didn't even campaign for it! Hell, I didn't even nominate myself. I have the world's coolest fans and friends. Thank you all for your support. Don't forget, … Continue reading 2019 Dragon Award Finalist
WyvaCon 2019 AAR — Food Poisoning Edition
This week has sucked. Last weekend I got food poisoning while in Virginia Beach (I did not know that you are NOT supposed to eat a steamed mussel that had not opened, who knew...) and I've been battling all week to be remotely human for WyvaCon this weekend in Wytheville, Virginia. I'm not sure how … Continue reading WyvaCon 2019 AAR — Food Poisoning Edition
Back to the Grind
Those first two weeks post-Libertycon are always rough. I already miss my friends and family, and coming back to work simply bites. On the other hands, bills and stuff still exist, so it's back to the grind. However, I did come out of that weekend with a new book contract, signed and delivered last week. … Continue reading Back to the Grind
Libertycon 32 AAR — Blond Edition
Libertycon 32 technically ended Sunday, but quite a few of us hang out until Monday to see old friends and catch up with new ones (you'd be amazed at how many new friends you can walk out of this convention with). Since a lot of us also do the "Well, let's get there Thursday to … Continue reading Libertycon 32 AAR — Blond Edition
June Birthday Month
Though I've been busy, I do have some really cool things to update all of you on. First off, the second book in the Kin Wars Saga came out today over at Audible. DARKLING picks up not too long after the events which set the entire stage in WRAITHKIN, and continues the adventure of the … Continue reading June Birthday Month
