Hey, look at that, a 0600 post. Strange, no? Well, you can think of this little scheduling thingy they have for future posts, or believe that I really am awake early in the morning typing this, sans Starbucks. Your call. I just finished the David Tennant seasons of Doctor Who and am now on to the Matt … Continue reading Jason’s Doctor Who Love Fest Continues

That One Post You Never Come To Enjoy
I've got this... bug right now. Not sure what it is, exactly. I lost my voice and have been hacking up something most decidedly Kermit colored. On the other hand, I feel fine. It's weird. I'll be okay, then suddenly coughing like a maniac. No fever, no aches, no headache. Just no voice. Huh. Good thing I … Continue reading That One Post You Never Come To Enjoy
Another Book Release
Still at the farm, and realizing that I miss being out here with my friends. I'm doing some writing, but with Google Drive/Docs being a little screwy, I'm not in my usual "flow" of things. On the other hand, I'm writing. So... eh? I'll be back to regular posting this Friday. I'll also be back … Continue reading Another Book Release
Mysticon 2013 AAR
So it's late Sunday afternoon at Soldier's Retreat and I'm coming down off of the high that was the awesomeness of Mysticon 2013. Finally got to meet Col. Tom Kratman in person, which was a hoot, because that man can tell a story. Had to keep it relatively PG-13, however, due to the underage midgets … Continue reading Mysticon 2013 AAR
Mistikaaaaaaaaaahn!
Just another reminder... MYSTICON!!! I'm going to Khan you. That is all. Get it? Kaaaaaaahn? Oh, admit your nerdiness already. Sheesh.
Accomplish-y Writer
I feel all accomplish-y right now. Put up a review of Maurice Broaddus' King Maker, which is a fascinating retelling of the King Arthur legends, over at Shiny Book Review. I also cleaned my kitchen, did the litter boxes, and (almost) took out the trash. I mean, I saw that it was almost full, so it's not like I'm … Continue reading Accomplish-y Writer
The Doctor Who Apology Tour
It's not often I'm wrong (only four times a day), so when I am I come out and admit it. I was wrong about Dr. Who. I made the mistake of watching some of the older episodes long ago (late 80's?) and my initial reaction was "Campy". I didn't watch any more episodes after, and when … Continue reading The Doctor Who Apology Tour
Overcommitted Is A Word
Yesterday was weird. I got home, and the next thing I knew it was time to go back to work. I did literally nothing yesterday. No writing. No creating. No editing. No painting. No eating. I don't think I'm sick. But I did miss my word count goal as a result, which has set me back about … Continue reading Overcommitted Is A Word
Mysticon 2013 Schedule
So I received my print copy of What Scares the Boogeyman? in the mail just now. It looks nice, if a bit on the thin side. But since it's only 200+ pages or so, that is to be expected. You can order it now at Amazon and-- --holy crap my computer just scared me! It started my … Continue reading Mysticon 2013 Schedule
Sunday Blatherings
Taking a breather from this writing marathon that's hit me today. It feels good, but it also dredges up some bad moments of "Whoops... did I mean that?" when reviewing scenes I'd already finished off. A lot of the problem is that it's difficult for me to keep the voices of Gabriel and Andrew (oh, … Continue reading Sunday Blatherings
An Update of Sorts
An update, of sorts. Amazon has gone ahead and put M.C.A. Hogarth's Spots the Space Marine back up in their ebook section. Judging from what I've heard, this is a pretty good book that others should pick up to help support the author. Plus, she donates a percentage of book sales to the Wounded Warrior project, which … Continue reading An Update of Sorts
At A Severe Cost
intellectual property noun: Law. property that results from original creative thought, as patents, copyright material, and trademarks. For those of you who haven't heard, M.C.A. Hogarth has run afoul of the behemoth gaming giant Games Workshop over her use of the term "Space Marine" for her novel, Spots the Space Marine. Games Workshop has demanded that Amazon pull down the ebook copy of Hogarth's book due to their claim of … Continue reading At A Severe Cost
Should I Title This?
I didn't care who won last night. Not because I don't like football (I love football) but because I didn't like either team that played, I'm not a fan of the halftime entertainer, and I'm not going to watch something for commercials. It's morally wrong to watch prime time TV for the commercials. Have you bought … Continue reading Should I Title This?
Book Release Day
What Scares the Boogeyman? was released on Amazon Kindle today. Print copy will be up soon, undoubtedly. You should go buy it. It has a lot of great writers in it like CJ Henderson, Nancy Asire, David Conyers, Rich Groller, Janet and Chris Morris, and it was edited by John Manning. I didn't write a … Continue reading Book Release Day
A Curiously Random Theme
I hate writing tropes and yet, every single bestseller has a common theme to it. I buy them even when I know they almost always have the same commonality. I bet you can guess what it is if you really put your mind to it. My family likes to procreate. I mean, really likes it. … Continue reading A Curiously Random Theme
